I’m Amber—the founder and creative director behind Salt and Light Photography. What began as a one-woman business over 10 years ago has slowly grown into a team of photographers who share the same vision, approach, and passion for storytelling. Every photographer on our team values connection over perfection, natural moments over stiff poses, and creating an experience where you can simply be present with the people you love most.

While I still photograph sessions and weddings personally, one of the greatest joys has been building a team I fully trust—photographers who serve our clients with the same care, warmth, and intentionality that this business was founded on. When you work with our team, you’re not just hiring a photographer—you’re stepping into an experience designed to feel peaceful, personal, and meaningful from beginning to end.

Outside of photography, I live in beautiful Harrison Hot Springs with my husband and our sweet boys. Family is at the centre of everything I do and deeply shapes the way I approach this work—with patience, gentleness, and an appreciation for the fleeting seasons of life we so often wish we could hold onto a little longer.

Faith also quietly influences the heart behind this business. I believe there is beauty and purpose woven into everyday moments, and I feel incredibly honoured to preserve them for the families and couples who invite us into their lives.
